NCAT has been developed to meet the educational needs of all health care professionals involved in anticoagulation management.

Our palate of courses has been driven by demand from our students and has now extended to training courses for associated topics, eg, cardiovascular disease, point of care testing, diabetes, travel health and pharmacology.

Our courses are delivered by leading national figures with lectures based on up-to-the-minute information. Knowledge is gained through a variety of delivery methods.

Accredited Courses - All accredited courses are clinically based MSc modules set at 20 credits and as such can be undertaken to build up credits towards an MSc in Primary Care Clinical Sciences and Community Health.

MSc Programme

MSc Clinical Primary and Community Care
The Clinical Primary and Community Care Masters (MCPCC) course is suitable for doctors, nurses and any other health care professionals aiming to acquire specialised skills and qualifications in primary and community care; covering dimensions required in line with NHS knowledge and skills framework or accreditation for GP/PwSI.
The MCPCC course is unique in that it combines both academic and clinical aspects of community and primary care and as such provides a clinically applicable higher level of academic achievement.

The Fifth Joint Scientific Meeting of The Anticoagulation Working Party of the PCCS, Anticoagulation Specialist Association, Anticoagulation Europe and Clinical Leaders of Thrombosis.

General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Biomedical Scientists, Pharmacists and Patients are all invited to attend Anticoagulation in Practice 2011 at the Wolfson Centre, a state of the art conference facility within the Medical School of University of Birmingham.

Cancellations - Fees will be refunded on a sliding scale as follows: within 2 weeks prior to course date 25% refunded; 2-4 weeks prior to course date 50% refunded, 4-6 weeks prior to course date 75%; 6 weeks plus 100% refund. It may be possible to transfer your reserved
place to another available date when 6 weeks or more notice is provided, transfers with less than 6 weeks before date of course are subject
to administration fees.
