The Department of Primary Care and General Practice has run post graduate MSc accredited and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses for over 10 years. They are aimed at all health care professionals, particularly GPs, practice nurses, specialist nurses, pharmacists and biomedical scientists.
The National Centre for Anticoagulation Training (NCAT) was developed to meet the educational needs of all health care professionals involved in
anticoagulation management.
The current palate of courses has been driven by demand from our students and has now extended to training courses for associated topics, for example, within the spectrum of cardiovascular disease, point of care testing and pharmacology.
Our courses are delivered by leading national figures with lectures based on up-to-the-minute information from within each specialist field. Knowledge is gained through a variety of delivery methods.
Accredited Courses - All accredited courses are clinically based MSc modules set at 20 credits and as such can be undertaken to build up credits towards an MSc in Primary Care Clinical Sciences and Community Health.
